GLM Rewards Program January Update!

We’ve jumped straight into 2021 and January has already come and gone. And with that, it means another month of the Golem rewards program! As mentioned in the rewards program for December, that was the 6th month of the program. Originally the program had been planned to run for 6 months, now it’s the 7th and we’re not leaving.

However we are changing it up a little bit—with migration of the old GNT to GLM heavily underway—for the program we will start awarding GLM to the January program awardees And, the program has also been re-dubbed the “GLM Rewards Program”. We want to make it explicitly clear that this program is here to give back to the community and any contributors to the project.

GLM Rewards Program Spotlight- Hackathon comes to a close

There were so many amazing projects in the hackathon and as mentioned in the latest blog post, Project of the Month - Golem CI, we wish we could have given out rewards for so many more projects. While Golem CI didn’t end up being submitted on time it technically speaking became content created outside of the hackathon. Which is where the GLM Rewards Program comes in! We want anyone and everyone to build on Golem, participate in the community and make it even more awesome.

Not only were so many people making great contributions, individuals such as Nestor who created Flan (covered in the Hackathon Highlights) and Rogervs, creator of cadCAD Golem, continued bringing in amazing discussion and support for the community. We. Love. This. So having already given away too much about what to expect for the next section, let’s dive into the January GLM Rewards Program awardees.

GLM Rewards Program - January awardees

The individuals we’ll be awarding the GLM Rewards Program slots for January’s round are:

Feedback Masters (1000 GLM each): rogervs#1094 (Discord) and warburg#3030 (Discord)

Tech Supporters (5000 GLM each): nestorbonilla#7921 (Discord) and anshuman73#3182 (Discord)

Content Creator of the Month (2500 GLM): hhio618#5800 (Twitter)

Please shoot an email over to contact@golem.network and we’ll follow up with instructions. Or find Mattias in the community Discord (https://chat.golem.network) and he will be happy to help you directly.

Wrapping Up

If you’re wondering “why is this the first time I’ve heard of the GLM Rewards Program and how can I get involved in this GLM Rewards Program thing” then ask no further. The GLM Rewards Program is technically opt-out, where you’re already participating as soon as you do anything in the Golem community (or you can see it as opt-in by the first community interaction you have). It’s that simple and there’s no need to apply. So come join us!

Get started by being active where the Golem community is discussing and interacting. The Golem team is often active in the Discord, /r/GolemProject and /r/GolemTrader on Reddit, Telegram and announcements channel. Or create some cool Golem integration on Github and share it with us via email. There’s so much potential for anyone to get involved.

Since the GLM Rewards Program requires KYC then of course you can opt-out if it’s not for you, we just want to token(ize) our appreciation and offer it in a tokenized way.
