GPU Provider Beta Testing Program - Update

First of all, big thank you to the community members who have participated in the GPU Provider Beta Testing Program - your feedback has been invaluable for us. πŸ™ That said, we would like to provide you with a brief update on the current status.

Milestones Reached

  • Implementation of the GPU Provider and start of beta testing on January 29th.
  • Registration of over 300 individuals on the waitlist.
  • Invitation extended to 67 beta testers.
  • Criteria for invitation included having a single GPU in the machine, as multi-GPU support is not yet available.
  • Beta testing sessions were conducted, with providers engaging in AI tasks.
  • Feedback from testers was diligently incorporated, leading to fixes and updates in our documentation.
  • Today we have invited 17 beta testers with the following GPUs: A6000 A40 and A100.

Next Steps

  • Currently we are launching a project aimed at developing multi-GPU support within the provider. This project is currently in the planning stage and we anticipate it will take 2 months to develop.
  • Upon completion, we will resume beta testing, inviting participants who have at least 2 GPUs in a single machine to join.
  • Existing beta testers will continue to receive tasks.
  • Simultaneously, we will be conducting demand-side tests with developers and also startups, engaging in discussions with requestors to better understand their needs.
  • Subsequently, we will announce our plan for supporting requestors and extend invitations to the Golem community to participate in beta testing the solutions provided by requestors.

We look forward to sharing exciting developments with you once multi-GPU support is ready!
