GLM Rewards Program June Update

We’re back for this month's update on the GLM Rewards Program! Each month we offer rewards to the community members that are getting involved in the ecosystem, whether it be in development, support or interesting projects of their own that they come up with to work on.

With the inception behind the idea of Yagna, we planned for a more modular and improved Golem (from the previous Brass and Clay Golem) for the community to be able to build on top of and add their own ideas to the project.

Since Beta.1 of Golem came out we’ve been working on making it easier for community members to build their own custom runtimes. And with the Beta.2 just out (most recent patch found here), we even introduced bounties with parts being related to creating custom runtimes. This leads us into our GLM Rewards Program Spotlight!

GLM Rewards Program Spotlight - a Yagna CUDA runtime

Even before the bounties were created there was work being done in the community to create a Yagna CUDA runtime (ya-cuda-runtime). CUDA refers to Compute Unified Device Architecture, it’s a parallel computing platform and application programming interface (API) model created by Nvidia.

The Yagna CUDA runtime project, while still a WIP, is aimed at making it possible to compute tasks on GPU. The project makes use of the modularity of Yagna and highlights the development ecosystem we’re excited about facilitating. It fits the recently created Application Creation and Maintenance category for the GLM Rewards Program, which is why it’s being featured in this GLM Rewards Program Spotlight.

Wrapping Up

That’s everything that we have for this month specific to the GLM Rewards Program. We have a lot of items we’re excited to share with you in the month of July so if you end up with ideas from new material coming up then please reach out on Discord, we’d love to hear from you.

Remember that it’s easy to get started with the GLM Rewards Program by being active where the Golem community is discussing and interacting. The Golem team is often active in the Discord, /r/GolemProject and /r/GolemTrader on Reddit, Telegram and announcements channel. Or create some cool Golem integration on Github and share it with us via email, for ideas check out Awesome Golem. There’s so much potential so even if you're new to Golem then come get involved. 🥳

Since the GLM Rewards Program requires KYC then of course you can opt-out if it’s not for you, we just want to token(ize) our appreciation in the form of GLM tokens.
